Floss

• Johnson and Johnson Clean Burst floss (flavored so it’s great for kids).
• Glide All-In-One floss threader (great for orthodontic patients and under crown and bridgework)
• Glide (for tight contacts)

Toothpaste

• Rembrandt whitening toothpaste
• Colgate Total
• Sensodyne (for patients with sensitive teeth)
• Prevident 5000 Booster (for patients susceptible to decay and sensitivity, available by prescription only)

Rinses

• Listerine (anti-bacterial rinse)
• Perioguard Oral Rinse, Chlorhexidine Gluconate 0.12% (treats bacterial gum infection, available by prescription only)

Adjunctive Homecare Products

• Perio-Aids  (aids in cleaning deep pockets with bone loss)
• Rubber tip stimulators (stimulates healthy gum tissue)
• Go Betweens (clean large spaces between teeth)

Over the Counter Remedies

• Rincinol (oral pain relief rinse)
• Orajel (topical oral pain reliever)
• 600mg of Ibuprofen  (every 4 to 6 hours as needed for pain)
• 1 teaspoon of salt dissolved in 8oz warm water (works well for painful gums)
• Amosan (oral wound cleanser for canker sores, sore spots from denture rub, orthodontic irritation)
